| Artist Mix | Outputs 3+4 / headphone output 2 के लिए EVO 8 का secondary software-monitor mix। इसका balance main mix से अलग हो सकता है। |
| ASIO | Audio Stream Input/Output। EVO 8 के साथ recording applications द्वारा उपयोग किया जाने वाला Windows low-latency audio-driver system। |
| Buffer size | Processing के दौरान computer audio driver द्वारा hold किए जाने वाले audio की मात्रा। छोटे buffers software-monitoring latency कम करते हैं लेकिन अधिक processing performance की आवश्यकता होती है। |
| Control Knob | EVO 8 का central rotary control। Selected input या output group के अनुसार इसका function बदलता है। |
| DAC | Digital-to-analogue converter। Computer से digital audio को speaker और headphone outputs के लिए analogue signals में convert करता है। |
| DAW | Digital Audio Workstation। Audio record, edit, mix या playback करने के लिए software। |

| dBu | Voltage-referenced audio level जहाँ 0 dBu, 0.775 Vrms के बराबर है। |
| DI / instrument input | Electric guitar या bass जैसे instruments को सीधे EVO 8 से connect करने के लिए high-impedance input। Front instrument input connect करने से rear input 1 override हो जाता है। |
| Gain | Digital audio में conversion से पहले input signal पर लागू amplification की मात्रा। |
| JFET | Junction Field Effect Transistor। EVO 8 high-impedance instruments के लिए JFET instrument-input stage उपयोग करता है। |
| Latency | Audio signal के system में enter या generate होने और output पर सुनाई देने के बीच delay। |
| Loopback | Internal routing जो computer playback या EVO Mixer mix को recording या streaming software के सामने stereo input के रूप में present करता है। EVO 8 पर loopback signal input channels 5+6 पर दिखाई देता है। |
| Loopback 1+2 | EVO 8 का dedicated loopback playback pair, जो computer outputs 5+6 के corresponding है। Hyphenated form वहीं retained है जहाँ यह EVO application label से match करता है। |
| Main Mix | EVO Mixer का primary monitor mix, जो सामान्य रूप से outputs 1+2 / headphone output 1 के लिए उपयोग होता है। |
| Phantom power / 48V | XLR microphone connection के जरिए उन microphones को भेजी जाने वाली DC power जिन्हें इसकी आवश्यकता होती है, आम तौर पर condenser microphones। Enable करने से पहले microphone documentation जाँचें। |
| Sample rate | हर second लिए जाने वाले digital audio samples की संख्या। EVO 8 44.1, 48, 88.2 और 96 kHz sample rates support करता है। |
| Smartgain | EVO का automatic gain-setting feature। Perform करते समय चुना हुआ input signals analyse करता है और उनके input gains अपने-आप set करता है। EVO 8 एक Smartgain process में multiple inputs set कर सकता है। |
| SmartMuting | EVO 8 behaviour जो headphones किसी output group से connect होने पर matching speaker-output pair अपने-आप mute करता है। |
| Stereo link | Inputs 1+2 या 3+4 को link करता है ताकि stereo सोर्स के लिए pair को साथ control और display किया जा सके। |
| TRS | Tip-Ring-Sleeve 1/4-inch jack connection। Balanced line-level audio और stereo headphones के लिए commonly used। |
