Troubleshooting
A microphone is not producing a signal
- If the microphone requires phantom power, confirm that the channel’s +48V switch is on.
- Try another XLR cable.
- Check the microphone connection and all connections from ASP800 to the interface or recorder.
- Confirm that the correct destination input is selected and metered.
ASP800 will not lock to an external clock, or the audio clicks and pops
- Press SAMPLE RATE until the LOCK switch flashes green. This selects external-clock mode.
- Confirm that the master clock source is valid and set to the required sample rate.
- Connect the master clock to the ASP800 BNC input with a 75 Ω BNC coaxial cable.
- A valid clock should make the green LOCK indicator illuminate steadily.
- Ensure there is only one clock master in the system.
- Check master/slave configuration, clock cabling and termination. Engage the ASP800 75 Ω termination only when it is the only or final device in the word-clock chain.
