शब्द	परिभाषा
+48 V	Compatible condenser microphones और दूसरे active equipment के लिए microphone input के माध्यम से दिया जाने वाला phantom power।
ADAT	Optical connections के माध्यम से भेजा जाने वाला multichannel digital audio format।
ORBIT	Horizon 8P Mic/Line inputs के लिए ORBIT Variable Impedance Control, जिसमें Low, Medium और High settings हैं।
Clock master	वह device जो दूसरे कनेक्टेड digital audio devices द्वारा इस्तेमाल किया जाने वाला timing reference देता है।
Clock सोर्स	Digital audio system को synchronise करने के लिए इस्तेमाल किया जाने वाला timing reference।
Control Wheel	Horizon 8P front पैनल का मुख्य rotary control, जिसका इस्तेमाल parameters adjust करने और Motion UI में navigate करने के लिए किया जाता है।
Cue mix	Performer के लिए बनाया गया monitoring mix। Horizon पर Independent Mixes का इस्तेमाल करके अलग cue mixes बनाए जा सकते हैं।
DAC	Digital-to-analogue converter। Digital audio को analogue signal में convert करता है।
DAW	Digital Audio Workstation। Audio record, edit, mix और play करने के लिए इस्तेमाल होने वाला software।
dB	Decibel। Audio signal के level या ratio को व्यक्त करने के लिए इस्तेमाल होने वाली unit।
dBFS	Digital full scale के relative decibels। 0 dBFS maximum digital level दर्शाता है।
dBu	0.775 V RMS को reference करने वाला analogue signal level measurement।
D-sub	एक multi-pin connector, जिसका इस्तेमाल एक connection के माध्यम से कई analogue audio channels ले जाने के लिए किया जाता है।
Fast Scroll Bar	बड़े channel configurations में तेज़ी से move करने के लिए इस्तेमाल होने वाला Mixer control।
Firmware	Horizon hardware के भीतर stored software जो उसके operation को control करता है।
Gain	वह मात्रा जिससे input signal amplify किया जाता है।
HPF	High-pass filter। Selected cutoff frequency से नीचे की frequencies को reduce करता है।
Independent Mix	चार अलग monitoring mixes, Mix A–D, में से एक जिसे Main Mix से independent बनाया जा सकता है।
Instrument Input	Electric guitar या bass जैसे instruments को सीधे connect करने के लिए बनाया गया input।
Latency	Signal के system में enter करने और resulting audio के सुनाई देने या record होने के बीच का delay।
Line level	Compatible audio devices के बीच इस्तेमाल होने वाला analogue signal level।
Main Mix	Horizon Control का primary monitoring mix।
Mic/Line	Microphone- या line-level सोर्सेज़ के लिए इस्तेमाल होने वाला Horizon 8P preamp input mode।
Monitor Profile	Speaker Layout से जुड़ी saved monitoring configuration।
Monitoring path	Listening के लिए इस्तेमाल होने वाला signal path। Mixer monitoring controls recording के लिए भेजे जाने वाले input signal को बदले बिना इस path को adjust कर सकते हैं।
Motion UI	Horizon 8P Motion UI, जिसका इस्तेमाल metering, parameter values, input और output summaries, monitoring states और settings दिखाने के लिए किया जाता है।
Pad	Amplification से पहले incoming signal को attenuate करने वाला control। Horizon 8P 10 dB Pad attenuation देता है।
Phantom power	+48 V देखें।
Polarity invert	Audio signal की polarity reverse करता है। Horizon अपने Mid/Side monitoring mode के हिस्से के रूप में polarity inversion इस्तेमाल करता है।
Primary device	Multi-device system में active monitoring के लिए जिम्मेदार Horizon device। एक समय में केवल एक कनेक्टेड Horizon device Primary होता है।
Routing Matrix	Horizon Control view जिसका इस्तेमाल चुना हुआ Horizon device के उपलब्ध audio सोर्सेज़ को उसके physical outputs पर route करने के लिए किया जाता है।
S/PDIF	Sony/Philips Digital Interface Format। Two-channel digital audio format।
Sample rate	Digital audio में conversion के दौरान analogue signal को एक second में कितनी बार measure किया जाता है।
Speaker Layout	Monitor Profiles द्वारा इस्तेमाल की जाने वाली saved monitoring speaker channel configuration। Physical output routing अलग से Routing Matrix में configure होती है।
Stereo pair	Supported sequential channel pair, जैसे 1–2 या 3–4, जिसे left और right pair के रूप में operation के लिए link किया जाता है।
Thunderbolt	Audio और control data के लिए Horizon द्वारा इस्तेमाल होने वाला computer connection, और अतिरिक्त Horizon devices को daisy-chain करने के लिए भी।
TRS	Tip-Ring-Sleeve। Balanced analogue audio के लिए आम तौर पर इस्तेमाल होने वाला three-conductor jack connection।
Virtual Channel	Host computer से playback audio ले जाने वाला Mixer channel।
Word clock	Digital audio devices को synchronise करने के लिए इस्तेमाल होने वाला timing signal।
Ω	Ohms। Electrical resistance या impedance measure करने की unit।
