Rack installation and ventilation
Horizon requires 1U of vertical rack space and a minimum rack depth of 400 mm, allowing for connected cables.
Always mount the unit with all four rack screws fitted. The screw type depends on the rack but should be a minimum of M6 or 12-24. Audient recommends a maximum screw length of 30 mm and the use of washers to help prevent loosening and minimise cosmetic marks.
For fixed installations such as a studio, the four front-panel mounting screws provide adequate support. The front panel is 4 mm deep at the rack-mounting positions.
Do not mount or stack Horizon directly above or below another Horizon unit or any other rack-mounted equipment.
Horizon is cooled by natural convection. Audient recommends that the unit is not used where the ambient temperature exceeds 35°C.
Keep the ventilation slots on both sides of the enclosure clear of obstruction.
Compliance
The product-specific information below is based on current verification documentation for Horizon 32. Supporting declarations and conformity documentation can vary by market.
FCC Part 15 — United States
Horizon 32 has been verified as a Class B digital device to 47 CFR Part 15 under the Supplier’s Declaration of Conformity (SDoC) procedure.
This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device under Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are intended to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. The equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio-frequency energy and, if it is not installed and used as instructed, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. Interference cannot be ruled out in every installation. If the equipment causes harmful interference to radio or television reception, confirm this by switching it off and on and try one or more of the following measures:
-
Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
-
Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
-
Connect the equipment to an outlet on a circuit different from the receiver.
-
Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.
Operation is subject to the following two conditions:
-
This device may not cause harmful interference.
-
This device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.
Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user's authority to operate this equipment.
