Firmware Updates

Audient may release firmware updates for EVO SP8 to add functionality and maintain compatibility with future operating-system and product releases.

EVO SP8 firmware is updated using Audient DFU.

Connect EVO SP8 to your computer​

  1. Connect the computer to the rear USB-C port labelled For Updates Only using either a USB-C to USB-C cable or a USB-C to USB-A cable.
  2. Connect EVO SP8 to mains power and power on the unit.

Download Audient DFU​

Download the current Audient DFU application from the EVO SP8 Downloads page or follow the current EVO SP8 firmware update procedure.

Audient DFU is available for macOS and Windows and can be run directly after downloading.

Update EVO SP8​

  1. Open Audient DFU.
  2. Select EVO SP8 from the device list.
  3. Review the current and latest available firmware versions.
  4. Select From Audient.com when an internet connection is available.
  5. Click Start Upgrade.
  6. Wait until the progress bar reaches 100% and the application confirms completion.
  7. Close Audient DFU.
  8. Disconnect the update USB cable from EVO SP8.

Updating from a local file​

Audient DFU can also update EVO SP8 from a local firmware file. If the computer has no internet connection or From Audient.com fails, contact Audient Support for assistance with a local firmware update.
