Getting Started
This page covers the first-time hardware setup for EVO SP8.
1. Connect power
Connect EVO SP8 to mains power using the supplied power lead and switch the unit on.
2. Complete the first-time setup
On first power-up, EVO SP8 guides you through its initial hardware settings using the display and Control Wheel.
Set the front-panel LED brightness, then choose the appropriate Clock Source, Sample Rate and Analogue Output Source for your system.
There is no single clock setting that is correct for every system. The correct choice depends on whether EVO SP8 is providing the clock or synchronising to another digital device.
See Digital I/O and Clocking before choosing clock settings if you are unsure.
3. Change settings later
After initial setup, hold the Control Wheel to open the Setup Menu. From there you can change the sample rate, clock source, word-clock termination, output source and other hardware settings.
See Outputs, Metering and Setup Menu for the full menu behaviour.
