Equaliser
The four-band equaliser is normally in the LF path. Its HF/LF and MID sections can be switched independently into the SF path.
HF and LF section
The HF and LF bands provide +/-15 dB of boost or cut.
- HF - shelving response, switchable between 10 kHz and 18 kHz.
- LF - shelving response, switchable between 50 Hz and 100 Hz.
- HF/LF IN - places the HF/LF section in circuit.
- SF - moves the HF/LF section from the LF path to the SF path.
Mid bands
The two mid bands are peaking equalisers with +/-15 dB boost or cut.
- HMF frequency - 450 Hz to 20 kHz.
- LMF frequency - 50 Hz to 1.5 kHz.
- Q - continuously variable from approximately 0.65 to 3.8, corresponding to a broad response of roughly two octaves through to a narrow response of roughly 0.4 octave.
- MIDS IN - places the mid section in circuit.
- SF - moves the MID section from the LF path to the SF path.
The two EQ sections can therefore be used together in one signal path or split between the LF and SF paths.
If EQ is moved to the SF recording path, its processing is present on that SF signal. If the EQ remains in the LF path, it affects the LF monitoring/mix path instead.
