Short Fader, FLIP and Pan
Short Fader path
The Short Fader (SF) path is normally fed from the Mic/Line input and is commonly used to set the level sent to recording buses.
The section provides:
- SOURCE / LF - replaces the normal Mic/Line or DAW source with the LF-path signal. The source is normally taken post Long Fader; an internal link can change this to pre-fader operation.
- Backlit MIC/DAW source indication.
- PAN - positions the SF signal across odd/even record buses when bus PAN is selected.
- MIX - routes the SF path to the stereo Mix bus, making the SF path available as an additional mix input.
- Short Fader - provides level control with 10 dB of gain above the 0 dB position.
- SOLO - auditions the SF signal through the selected solo system.
- CUT - mutes the SF path.
FLIP and LF pan
FLIP exchanges the Mic/Line and DAW sources between the LF and SF paths. Illuminated source legends show which source is feeding each path.
The LF PAN control positions the LF signal on the stereo Mix bus. MIX assigns the LF path to that bus, while SOLO and CUT audition or mute the LF path.
For the LF level control, continue to Long Fader and Input Connections.
