Master and Subgroup Metering
Master meters
The Main Left and Right meters are peak-reading.
| Meter point | Level | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| 0 VU | +4 dBu | Nominal analogue reference |
| Digital reference | +18 dBu | 0 dBFS when the connected converter is aligned +18 dBu = 0 dBFS |
| OVER | +20 dBu | High-level meter indication |
The +18 dBu point is a digital alignment reference, not the maximum analogue output level of the console. The Mix output is specified at >+26 dBu maximum output into 2 kΩ.
The meter bridge also provides +18 V, −18 V and +48 V PSU status indicators, the Talkback Mic connector and a SOLO indicator that illuminates whenever a console solo is active.
Subgroup / Line Input 17–24 meters
Eight identical peak-reading meters are provided for the Subgroup / Line Input 17–24 paths. Buses 1–8 feed the corresponding subgroup paths, and those same controls/meters are used when the insert returns are repurposed as Line Inputs 17–24.
The subgroup meters use the same reference points: 0 VU = +4 dBu, +18 dBu = 0 dBFS when the converter uses that alignment, and OVER = +20 dBu.
