Installation, Safety and Service

Unpacking​

The console is inspected before dispatch. Check the packaging and console for signs of transit damage before installation. If damage is found, notify the carrier and dealer immediately.

The package should include:

  • ASP8024-HE console
  • IEC power cord
  • Manual

Electrical safety​

Safety earth

The console and ASP8120 Ultra PSU must be connected to mains safety earth. Never operate the console or PSU with the safety-earth connection removed.

Before connecting the ASP8120 Ultra PSU to AC mains:

  1. Confirm the PSU is set for the correct local mains voltage.
  2. Confirm the fitted mains fuse matches the rating marked on the PSU/fuse holder and approved service information.
  3. Connect the console power cable securely to the console and PSU before switching on.
  4. Keep the PSU cooling airflow unobstructed.
  5. Do not expose the console or PSU to rain or moisture.

Do not tamper with the power supply or mains-voltage circuitry. Mains voltages are hazardous.

Service and repair​

ASP8024-HE uses a complex internal PCB construction. Field service should only be undertaken by a qualified technician.

If a technical fault occurs:

  1. Contact Audient Support or your authorised dealer.
  2. Complete the requested troubleshooting.
  3. Do not dismantle or attempt internal repair unless you are qualified and have the appropriate service information.
