Control-room outputs​

ASP4816-HE Main and Alternate control-room output connectors

The console provides four stereo line-level control-room output pairs:

  • Main
  • ALT 1
  • ALT 2
  • ALT 3

Connect these outputs to powered monitors or suitable monitor power amplifiers.

Studio and Foldback outputs​

ASP4816-HE Studio Loudspeaker and Foldback output connectors

The Studio output and Foldback A/B outputs are balanced stereo line-level XLR connections. Use a suitable headphone amplifier between a Foldback output and artist headphones.

Auxiliary outputs​

Aux 1–6 and Cue A/B are balanced line-level outputs. Cue A/B are intended primarily for foldback but can also be used as additional send buses.

Subgroup inserts and Line Inputs 17–24​

Each of the eight subgroups provides an Insert Send and Insert Return. Insert Sends are always active. The Insert Returns also serve as Line Inputs 17–24 during mixdown.

Stereo input connectors​

Each of the four Stereo Inputs has left and right TRS connectors. For a mono source, connect to Left only; the Left input is normalled to Right. Connecting a plug to Right breaks that normalled connection.

Monitor inputs​

The monitoring system has three stereo external input pairs:

  • DAW
  • EXT 1
  • EXT 2

All three are available to Control Room monitoring. EXT 1 and EXT 2 are also available to Studio/Foldback source selection.

Mix outputs and inserts​

Three parallel stereo Mix output sets are provided. The stereo Mix Insert Send and Return connections are before the Mix compressor.

Bus and subgroup output DB25 connectors​

The three Tascam-standard DB25 connectors carry:

  1. Subgroup / Line 17–24 outputs.
  2. Bus outputs 1–8.
  3. Bus outputs 9–16.
